It is curated by Tony Strickland (aka The Hat), and I am really looking forward to it. The exhibition runs for a week, and I will be there each day (except Sunday) from noon till five. For years, I have been captivated by the interaction between the sky and the shifting waterscapes of the sea, coastlines and inland lakes. Water is a living element; it records the weather, mirrors the light, and constantly reshapes the land. In this exhibition, I invite you to explore this maritime journey through two distinct lenses. The smaller watercolours offer intimate, observational moments—capturing the delicate transparency, fleeting tides, and tranquil moods of the shore. Beside them, the larger acrylics allow for a more sweeping, tactile experience. Utilising bold brushstrokes and heavy palettes, these canvases seek to evoke the raw energy, rhythm, and immersive depth of the wild Atlantic and the quiet mystery of our inland lakes.Whether in the quiet details of watercolour or the rich textures of acrylic, every piece is a reflection of a specific time, place, and atmosphere.
